The Global CCS Institute and the Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF) are holding a joint workshop at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, Canada to advance the G8 recommendation to define the concept of carbon capture and storage (CCS) ready.

The joint workshop builds on preliminary work of GCCSI and CSLF to develop an internationally recognised definition of CCS ready and to stimulate further discussion on the recommended practices for policymakers. The definition and best practice recommendations developed through this workshop will be submitted to governments through policy bodies such as the CSLF for broad endorsement.
